When I was thinking about a practical pouch to store my makeup, I wanted it to be able to stand upright easily without collapsing when open. I also wanted to be able to use the materials we sell in-store, so you can find everything you need in one place. I drew a pattern of my ideal pouch, we tested it, and now I offer it to you as a gift!
We have also added a "Colorblock" version to the pattern, which we do not explain here, but is very simple to achieve. If needed, send us a message!
You need:
- 1/4 m de canvas, Quilted cotton, poplin, coated cotton, or other non-stretch fabric for the exterior of the pouch
- 1/4 m de canevas, Quilted cotton, poplin, coated cotton, or other non-stretch fabric for the inside of the pouch
- 1/2 meter of non-woven interfacing, like the Pellon 973F
- 1 30 cm zipper

Étape 1:
Canvas the outside of the kit following the manufacturer's instructions.
Étape 2:
Fold the zipper in half and make a slight cut in the middle, on each side.
Étape 3:
Place the zipper right side down on the opening of the pouch.
Étape 4:
Make sure to align the markers properly.
Étape 5:
Place the lining and the bag right sides together, with the zipper sandwiched between the 2 pieces, pin and sew.
Étape 6:
Proceed in the same way to place the zipper on the other side. Apply the zipper right side against right side on the opening of the pouch.
Étape 7:
Place the lining and the bag right sides together, with the zipper sandwiched between the 2 pieces, pin and sew.
Étape 8:
Topstitch on each side of the zipper (optional).
Étape 9:
Open the zipper.
Étape 10:
Place the zipper right side facing on the opening of the pouch. Place the lining and the bag right side facing, pin and sew at the locations indicated in the photo, leaving an opening at the bottom of the lining to turn the bag inside out.
Étape 11:
Sew the 4 corners of the pouch right sides together to form the bottom of the pouch.
Étape 12:
Trim the excess zipper.
Étape 13:
Return the case through the lining opening.
Étape 14:
Close the opening with an invisible hand stitch or a straight machine stitch, close to the edge.
