In the end, you will have a pouch-style bag that stays perfectly upright when you fill it, but without the complexity of sewing a zipper. Inspired by the need for simplicity and functionality, this pouch is designed to meet your needs while allowing you to use the wonderful materials available in our store or in your scraps!
You need:
- 1/4 m de canevas, quilt cotton, poplin, coated cotton, or other non-stretch fabric for the outside of the pouch
- 1/4 m de canevas, quilt cotton, poplin, coated cotton, or other non-stretch fabric for the inside of the pouch
- 1/2 m of non-woven interfacing
- 1 mPiece of fabric measuring 25.7 cm x 6 cm for the casing
- 2 pieces of 80 cm rope

Étape 1:
Remove the outer cover of the pouch following the manufacturer's instructions.
Étape 2:
Fold the piece of fabric that will form the casing in half lengthwise and press.
Étape 3:
Fold each corner 0.6 cm and press.
Étape 4:
Fold each corner back again by 0.6 cm and press.
Étape 5:
Sew each end.
Étape 6:
Fold the slide in half and place it on the outside of the pouch, making sure to align the centers properly.
Étape 7:
Place the lining and the outside of the pouch right sides together, with the casing sandwiched between the 2 pieces, pin and sew.
Étape 8:
Iron. Repeat with the other side of the pouch.
Étape 9:
Place the linings Place right sides together and the 2 outer pieces of the pouch right sides together, aligning the centers. Pin and sew at the indicated points in the photo, leaving an opening at the bottom of the lining to turn the pouch right side out.
Étape 10:
Sew the 4 corners of the pouch right sides together to form the bottom of the pouch.
Étape 11:
Return the pouch through the lining opening.
Étape 12:
Close the opening with an invisible hand stitch or a straight stitch on the sewing machine, close to the edge.
Étape 13:
Topstitch the edge of the pouch (optional).
Étape 14:
Insert the first string using a safety pin, and go all around the pouch.
Étape 15:
Insert the second string on the other side of the pouch and make a complete loop. Tie the ends together.
