SCHMETZ Chrome Professional Grade is the ideal sewing partner. The chrome resists heat and wear. The chrome will stay cooler longer with less needle distortion and helps the thread pass through the needle eye with less friction and less heat buildup. Chrome also allows the needle to pass through fabric with less resistance. Ideal for cotton knits, interlock, rib knits, fleece, double knit, and sews most knit fabrics. The tip is more rounded than a universal needle and is designed to separate the fabric fibers without cutting them, preventing knit fabric from snagging or running after sewing. Generally, threads such as polyester or polyester/cotton blends work best. Again, the finer the needle, the finer the thread to use.
